Yorgos Stratoudakis

(Ph.D. in Fisheries Science, 1997, Marine Laboratory and University of Aberdeen; Master in Political Philosophy, 2019, New University of Lisbon) is a Fisheries Researcher at IPMA, the Portuguese State Laboratory on marine and fisheries monitoring and advice. Since 2011, Yorgos is interested in participatory processes involving small-scale fisheries, particularly in Marine Protected Areas and transition waters.  His contribution to LICCI focuses on the implementation of the fisheries protocol in the SW coast of Portugal (local communities of Costa de Caparica and Fonte da Telha) in collaboration with a team from the New University of Lisbon led by Monica Mesquita (OLO – https://www.olomare.space/).
