Mohamed Djamel Miara

Lecturer-researcher at the department of natural and life sciences, at the University of Ibn Khaldoun, Tiaret, he is a botanist who works on several botany-related fields, such as: plant ecology, plant taxonomy and ethnobotany. Interested in research on endemic taxa and orchids in North Africa, he participates in researches related to ethnobotany such as: ethnopharmacology and phytochemistry. His experience in collecting and interpretating ecological and ethnobotanical data will be tested in the LICCI project by trying to understand how climate change affects the physical, biological, and socioeconomic systems of the Tuareg community in the great Algerian Sahara.
