Mayra Vázquez

Mayra Vázquez (Bsc in Biology) is a student of the master’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in Environmental, Economic and Social Sustainability at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. Her research interests center around the traditional ecological knowledge and adaptation to climate change. She has worked for the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) with disaster risk reduction issues in indigenous communities in southern Mexico. Her research work within the LICCI project focuses on climate change and its relationship with the loss of the traditional Milpa cultivation system in Mexico.
