
Claudia Geffner Fuenmayor is a research assistant working under the supervision of LICCI partner Sara Miñarro. Her research has been carried out on the Mediterranean Catalan coast. Her work focus on women’s role in community-based management of small-scale fisheries, particularly on the question of how their participation in decision-making processes affects communities’ resilience to climate change and other stressors. She is finishing her bachelor’s degree in Social and Cultural Anthropology (UAB) with a minor in Sustainable Development and Global Citizenship, and starting a MSc in Interdisciplinary Studies in Environmental, Economic, and Social Sustainability at ICTA. Her research interests include ecological economics, commons governance, ethnoecology, and the transformation of local socio-ecological systems in the face of the different forces of global change.
