Background: I have a Master’s Degree in Environmental Sciences and a field experience of working in the Himalaya.
Research interest: I had always been intrigued as to how the tribal people that reside in the hinterlands of Himalaya fulfil their daily needs and what guides their lifestyle. As I grew up, this fuelled my passion and consequently my research interest lies in documenting folk knowledge of tribal communities. Currently, I am pursuing my Ph.D. from the CSIR- Institute of the Himalayan Bioresource Technology, Palampur, India wherein my work focuses on traditional knowledge systems that includes climate change perception and adaptation strategies of the tribal communities residing in the high-altitude regions of western Himalaya, India.
