Aida Cuni-Sanchez

Dr Aida Cuni-Sanchez holds a MSc (Diplom) in Biology from the University of Barcelona in Spain (2006) and a PhD in Environmental Sciences by the University of Southampton in UK (2011). She has worked as a researcher for RSPB, University College London, University of Copenhagen, University of Oxford, Colorado State University and University of York where she is based now. Her research interests, at the interphase between natural and social sciences, have focused on tropical forest ecology, carbon stocks, forest use by local communities and local communities’ adaptation to climate change, all in tropical Africa. For the LICCI project, she will provide insights from indigenous knowledge in eastern DRC.
